With support from NSF and DARPA, USF researcher John Murray-Bruce is developing new mathematical tools to improve how machines "see" in challenging conditions. The research will lay the foundation for imaging systems that don鈥檛 just see better, they see the unseen.
Philanthropy
The 色色研究所 set new fundraising records for the fourth straight year in the fiscal year that ended on June 30, 2025, receiving over $184 million in philanthropic support from more than 59,700 donors 鈥� both all-time highs for the university.
Student Success
While pursuing a master鈥檚 degree in exercise science at USF, Vivianne Bessette helped lead Tampa Bay Sun FC to a championship title as a standout defender in the team鈥檚 inaugural season.
USF鈥檚 historic invitation to join the Association of American Universities has taken what many in Tampa Bay have once considered a 鈥渂est-kept secret鈥� to an unprecedented new level. Being an AAU member is a tremendous milestone for USF as it formalizes USF's position as a leading research university. USF is the first public university in Florida to be invited to join the AAU in nearly 40 years and is now one of only two institutions from the State University System of Florida to serve as an AAU member.
